AACTA Awards
Branding, Art Direction, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design
The Australian Academy of Cinema & Television Arts (AACTA) is Australia’s largest professional membership based organisation and is modelled on BAFTA & the Oscars. The Australian Academy / AACTA Awards celebrate all aspects of Film, Television, Documentary and Digital creation.
Over my five years at AACTA, I contributed to three major rebrands of the AACTA Awards. Each rebrand aimed to keep the event fresh and relevant, reflect the unique vibe of each year’s venue, attract new audiences across different locations, boost marketing impact, and celebrate the nominees in a way that felt distinct and timely.

2021 AACTA Awards
Sydney Opera House
The 2021 AACTA Awards were held at the Sydney Opera House, with branding inspired by the city's vibrant nightlife, featuring a neon light aesthetic that captured Sydney’s dynamic energy.

The concept of light projection on the Sydney Opera House sails was created to honour David Gulpilil, celebrating his remarkable contributions. The execution of the projection was carried out by the specialist lighting team.

2024-25 AACTA Awards
HOTA, Gold Coast
The 2024 and 2025 AACTA Awards were hosted at HOTA, Gold Coast. To mark the first consecutive years in Queensland, the key art featured a graphic representation of Gold Coast waves, creating a strong and memorable visual identity.
